Will has a guitar collection to make you weep and an assortment of amps and pedals capable of delivering some of the most extraordinary tones and sounds. His gear reviews are of the highest caliber and his stylised guitar shots are artistic and enthralling. What’s more, we’ve been delighted to see WIll deliver some incredible photos which capture our MINIM stands in situ with some of his incredible guitars and gear.

How did you get into guitar photography?

I’ve always had an appreciation for photography but was too busy spending money on gear to try and advance past iPhone photography. In 2019, with my wedding and honeymoon coming up I used that as an excuse to finally purchase a camera, knowing full well it would likely be used almost exclusively for pictures of my gear.

What is your favourite space to play guitar at home?

Aside from my basement studio setup, with the nice spring weather finally upon us, I’ve been really enjoying just sitting in my backyard strumming away, it’s very peaceful.

What guitar playing routines do you have?

I wish I had some, right now I’ve been really lucky to be staying busy with product demos so most of my playing time goes into writing parts for those. I’d love to be able to get back into a nice daily practice routine and be able to keep improving.

What is your favourite guitar?

My custom Frank Brothers Guitar. I had been dreaming of that build for years and was finally able to commission it this last year. It was amazing to be able to pick each piece of wood in person with the brothers, and see it come to fruition. It’s one of the best feeling guitars I’ve played and it just feels like home when I pick it up.

Where do you go for lessons, tips and other guitar playing advice?

Mostly Instagram these days, there’s so many great players and instructors offering tips/techniques.

You’re at a party and get corralled into playing your guitar for the crowd—what do you play? Do you have a go to song?

Been a long time since we’ve been able to have parties, so I can’t even picture this situation anymore, but anyways, here’s Wonderwall
